Saturday and Sunday evening, when the cheese is strained and the bread is baked, we’ll be ending the day with an equally fun fade-out: The Stadt Land Food Salon. Ten short but inspiring presentations followed by talks with guests selected by the curators will give us all the opportunity to delve deeper into the festival theme of food and identity. We’ll talk about whether sausage is a national German treasure, if the Mosel Riesling has a particular terroir, and how sauerkraut has made us what we are today. The short Stadt Land Food Salon presentations will take place at Markthalle Neun on Saturday and Sunday from 8pm – 930pm, and are also free of charge.
